You must be 15 years old on the first day of class to take driver education in Maine.

    This is our complete drivers education package. I includes all state requirements.  We use the AAA How to Drive 15th Edition Curriculum.  Upon Completion of this course the student will be issued  their Maine Learner's permit.

    As part of our driviing hour requirements we are required to cover traffic circles and light controlled intersections.  Siince these are not available in the Machias area, one of the driving lessons will be a 4 hour trip to Calais.  Two students go together and will each drive for 2 hours.  the remaining 8 hours of required driving time will be completed in 8 - 1hour blocks.  Parents will be required to attend the last 15 minute of class 3 and the last 30 minutes of class 10.

    $100 dollar deposit is required to secure your seat in this class.  Payment must be made in full before drive times are scheduled.

  • Private Tutoring

    Our highly trained driving instructors will go through the manuevers that are on the road exam and talk about what the examiners will be looking for during the exam. You can schedule as many "refresher" hours as you wish.

    Payment is required before the driving lesson. There are no refunds for no shows.

    This service is designed for someone who just wants to take the driving part of our curriculum and gain experience driving.  No permits will be issued upon completion.  The driving portion of our curriculum includes: 7 - 1hour drives and a 3 hour trip to Calais in which we will gain experience working around the traffic circle and traffic signals.

Upon completing 30hrs of class, 10hrs of driving, and scoring 80 or better on the permit exam students will receive their permits. Buckle up driving school runs this course. Students must he 15 on the first day of class. Fee for the course is $650. Drive times will be scheduled after class 3 and receipt of payment for the course. Please bring proof of age (passport or birth certificate) and prescribed glasses or contacts on the first day of class.
